*When are we?

The youth program at Saginaw Valley Church of the Nazarene offers opportunities for teenagers to meet weekly.

The high school student ministries take place Sunday nights from 6:00-7:00pm and from 7:30-8:30pm on Wednesday nights.

The junior high student ministry takes place on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:30pm.

*What we are?

The overall goal and destination of our youth group is to fall under the umbrella of the larger church mission of “Encountering Christ and engaging our world.” Each one of the youth programs has an underlying purpose and intent to its design. The high school student ministry on Sunday nights is geared specifically to be outreach oriented. The materials covered are very topical to the most relevant issues of our teen culture. The atmosphere is very discussion driven in an open forum style. The environment is user friendly and conducive for bringing friends. However, the Wednesday night high school ministry is very scripture driven in a more specific bible study format where verses are read, examined, and dissected for practical application in everyday life.

The junior high student ministry on Wednesday night is geared towards the development of practical, basic theology. In other words, one could say it is a time for learning the ABC’s of faith and the constructing of a foundation for them to stand on as they begin to face the pressures and trials of teenage life.

The youth programming at Saginaw Valley Church of the Nazarene also incorporates a variety of different functions and activities ranging from summer mission trips to watching a movie with popcorn on the weekend.
